I am fishing a tournament in Brigantine this weekend and need advice.

We are fishing the tournament this weekend in Brigantine, NJ and was wondering if it is to early to fish for Kingfish? There will be 4 of us and I was thinking one of us should fish for them if they are in. What do you guys think? :dunno:

Just for a clarification here, Kingfish are the same as Mackeral--one of things where vernacular gets in the way, you Rockfish fisherman!

No Striper, its only RockFish when you get to Mary - Land.

Kingfish is not a mackerel. It may be too cold for them.

There were a few Northern Kingfish (aka Whiting down south)caught at the tourney today.
