the pats

GOD knows I hate them.

But they are a great football organization.

Really pains me that I will have to root for the Eagles :)

Re: the pats

I know that outside New England people are tired of seeing the Pats winning all the time. With coaches and coordinators leaving for better jobs elsewhere there may be a decline in Pats effectiveness.

Gronk's fractured skill was an intentional effort to get him for that nasty hit a few games back. But it cost the Jaguars the title. The 15 yard penalty was then followed by a completed pass. Game after game other teams get penalized which ends up defeating all comers.

Not a Pat's fan, watched the game and my only opinion is NFL told Belichick to not turn on the the light switch until the 4th period to keep ratings up. Switch on, game over.

Maybe so, after all a ref came up and was the first to give Brady a slap congrats at the end of the game.

The fix is in.

With all the Philly and South Jersey guys here, the next two weeks should be good.

The one thing we can all agree on is that we should all -- every one of us -- savor the agony that the Giants fans must be going through. :D

Don't savor too soon.

Remember, we BEAT Brady already.

And I ask: how many superbowls have you won?

So now, get'er done!

That would be 2 against Brady. As a lifetime Giants fan I have a real problem on my hands. I hate the Eagles and have no love lost for the Patriots. I have some long ago history with Bob Kraft when he wasn't as big a deal in his own mind, and I have to say he was a class guy. Bellicheck I believe came from the Giants way back when. If I were to give anyone in that organization a real attaboy it would be whoever has been in charge of player personnel for the past 10 -12 years. I may be watching golf. My son in law is a Pats fan ( Boston, Weekapaug guy ) and my daughter is an Eagles fan, ugh .

still on the NFL boycott ( 2 years ) but did see the highlights on ESPN , the hit to Gronk was a hit where the defensive player causing a player to not re-enter a game due to an penalty which causes an injury should to have to sit out the remainder of the game . Its all so happens in NHL, MLB & nothing is done about taking a player out to advance your teams advantage .
it was an unfornitate hit to the head BUT if you hit a player low your a dirty player & if you go high its dangerous .

I agree on the helmet-to-helmet. The D player should have been ejected for the game.

Re: the pats

Regarding the Gronkowski helmit to helmit hit, I think they were out to get Gronkowski for that late hit Gronk perpetrated a few games back. Getting even is a fine art and there could be reward money under a rock somewhere. Sure, Gronk is popular but a lot of fans were disappointed in his behavior that cost him an ejection and game suspension. That skull fracture could be pay-back.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the strained relationship that has always, still does, exist between Pats management and the press. Kraft avoids the press; Belicheck mumbles and Brady gives few interviews and when he does questions become a battery of "we'll sees" for answers. I can see that you Mid-Atlantic fans are not watching the Patriots as closely as me and Joyce. Members here think that the football in on the field. The game, dear and patient readers, is played in management decisions.

Your correct again Mr D we don?t follow what?s the goings on a up
In Boston basically don?t really care , hey your coach born in Tennessee coached with Cleveland , Detroit , NY and who else? folks up that?s way make him out like some south side icon child . We followed the press like when he was fined $$$$ for cheating vids against the Jets and accused more than once afterwards . I much rather watch all my children re runs of Erica Kane & Aunt Phebe in Pine Valley

Re: the pats

Your remarks don't surprise me as people are tired of Patriot wins. Outsiders don't see the skills high level management -- Kraft and Bellecheck -- who execute top notch strategies. They commonly win with solid clock management of time outs and remaining seconds. For instance, we recently saw a team lose because they scored leaving too much time on the clock for the other team. Its more than just football; its strategy, planning, and drilling practice. I concede that Brady is a good quarterback but Kraft is at every game and Bellecheck rides his troops like a Marine drill sargent and never lets up. I get the feeling the rest of the league doesn't take the game seriously. One reservation I have about management is that they should have kept their star backup quarterback, Garopalo. The press has never been able to find out why he was let go. Of course the Pats org does not talk to the press. The press stinks. Ask Ted Williams.

Tommy B is a great QB and not enough credit is given here . Brady made them both famous not the other way around . Ask Ted ? last I heard his head is still in the freezer and his kids have not decided what to do with the poor bastard .

I like your style watching games with the wife , more husbands should do the same they might learn something for another perspective of woman’s intelligence .

My wife is a sp0rts whizkid. We might go in a gin mill once/week and people all want to talk to her about pro football. They know she is a cool cucumber; same at the gun club. I would like to say that I am good at picking women but, truth be told, I was just lucky. And she can shoot well enough to keep our freezer full.

Too bad she's a Patriots fan, she may have developed her coolness to a new high by watching Belichek on the sidelines.
