As always don't be to specific of an area your fishing.

We enjoy reading your reports. Surf, boats, fresh water are all good.. Pictures are even better.
Good luck, have fun and be safe.

well I kicked off my fishing season with a skunk yesterday.... at a local pond :D

(which never produces until it's a bit warmer... at least on flies)

Rob, drive towards the sun in the morning, you'll run right into the beach:hihi:

maybe....

and, for the record, my getting out has (almost) nothing to do with the hot weather

just back from lawn guyland where we grandbaby sat as my eldest daughter delivered our first granddaughter, to the special delight of Nanna.

but that, plus just getting dang old with associated broken, aching, and needing checked up whatnots, been a never ending string of non-fishing activities.

ok, < / whining >

:hihi:

Congrats Rob!

I made it out on Sunday with the boat, ended the day with 17 keepers by noon. Overall decent fishing considering how crowded it was.

Out last night from the surf managed to gill/gut hook yet another fish for 2018...bleeding pretty bad decided to harvest it (#3 if your keeping count - lol). This one was around 34" on a bunker chunk, dropped another :doh2:

Awesome work as always brother!! Had the same thing happen to me on Sat- swallowed the entire mojo and left me no choice but to harvest it. Hate when that happens!

Just realized i posted my report in the march/april thread instead of here. Maybe i should stay home tonight and sleep?

Last couple days have treated me well. Good weather and lots of quality fish. Unfortunately, i have not broken the 30lb mark. I either get a fish with girth or length, but not both. Take a look at those brooms!
The fog light in the sky has not slowed them down by any means.
At the moment the hardest part is knowing what they want. One minute they're slamming gliders and the next they want bunker chunks.

That's the ugliest striper I have ever seen. LOL.

But those fish are like works of art. Nice fish, Bay.
