Got a little worried but, Packs pulled it off...even while weak up front.

the Giants are the midgets this year.

I'm against any disrespect to any American, our flag and our country. But now its just a pushing match esp. with our President coming down so hard with NFL statements.

What I would like to see is an NFL player, instead of kneeling during the anthem, donate half their salary to the cause they are kneeling for.

ok, now what the H**L is going on?

Are some teams trying to go all Kum Bay Ya on this???

Kendricks told ESPN it was Bennet who proposed the idea to address the fans during a team meeting.
“Aaron [Rodgers] spoke first and he kind of laid it out and laid out the fact that he’s on our side and he understands the message being conveyed and trying to get across,” Kendricks said. “And then Marty wrote a statement and in the statement he said we’re going to lock arms and he’s going to challenge the fans to lock arms as well, so it kind of puts them in a position where it’s like, ‘Look you’re either going to unite with us or you’re not.’ I think that’s really cool because it puts them in a position where it’s like now we’re talking to you, so you make a decision, peacefully make a decision.”

The media accurately credits Kaepernik starting this... and THIS is what he started it for:

Then it turned into disrespecting the flag, while at the same time still saying All Police are pigs.

I'm done with the NFL.

Nations Flubber Lovers

I guess in theory I just like watching football. I don't like when a player takes a knee but many died just to give them the freedom to do that.

Always stuck in my mind an episode of "Barney Miller" Where Wojohowitz made a bust because someone had on a pair of pants with the flag on his butt. (now stay with me here) Wojo was pissed, big time, because he was a Vet. But then he understood (even though he still didn't like it) because the guy with the flag on his butt, also to find out he was a Vet, believed he fought for freedom and along with the freedom, his ability to express himself as he wanted. That always sticks in my mind when something comes up like this. The mass amount of people who died so I, we, can do something we believe in, even if other don't.
So its fine when folks don't want to watch the NFL because of the kneeling, but

Re: 2017 NFL Thread

It started with Kapernut putting on the Cops are Pigs socks. The NFL did nothing.
Then BLM stuff started, NFL did nothing. But God forbid some NFL players want to wear different color socks for breast cancer awareness or some other charity. No, that violates a rule (which, by the way, kneeling does as well).

Hope the ratings crash, hope the sponsors leave.

:wow: I hear some rage in those words...
http://www.nfl.com/pink;

I'm not saying the NFL is, oh what word can I use,,, hmmm, caring, fair, in favor of their fans, yada, yada, yada, but it's just a small part of, inhumanity, no, problems we have in this great country.
So, I believe if you or most likely many others, want to boycott the NFL, good for you. As for me, I'll keep watching, it goes good with a beer.

Re: 2017 NFL Thread

It really is the same as when a Hollywood actor starts going activist.

From that point on, I can no longer view them in character and I don't go to see their movies, or watch their shows on TV.

The NFL is supposed to be "entertainment", not "reality". We know that there are real people behind the scenes and they have all the same issues that other real people face.

However, they are being paid to put on a show, not demonstrate. Thus, I won't "buy the ticket" any longer, so to speak, since they've decided to systematically ruin the show.

If you can let that go, then so be it.

If they want to use their position Fame or whatever for their platform, why don't the bunch of them put up the money to rent out a stadium for a rally, that's what activist or leaders do it will get air time or does the thought of spending their time and money not worth it????:lecture: :lecture: :lecture: :lecture: :lecture:
