One of the joys in hunting is utilization of the game meat. The couple I have been mentoring is now learning how to cut and cook venison. There is a cut along the spine hunters call "back straps", which in beef is sirloin, that is really nice stuff when prepped with Montreal, rub, minced garlic. Grill black on the outside with a red/pink center. Never overcook! Just treat it like beef.
Supervisor at the casino asked my wife, Joyce, where Frank shot his ten point buck. Answer: "I would have to kill you."
Guy at the club asked the same question. Frank's answer: "in the neck".
