I was looking at some spots today in the Shrewsbury (from shore).

I was curious about opinions (not hot spots, although you can email those ) about:
- what time of year is best for upriver fishing
- what is expected? small blues? schoolie stripers?
- if you had a choice of incoming or outgoing, which do you think would be best? Of course, this probably ties into season.
- what time of day?
- also what type of bait/lure/fly?

My thoughts are early season outgoing, late season incoming, morning light and summer at nights.

Of course, this may apply to upriver Navesink (or other places???) as well.
