September, Misquamicut about 8 am. A slew of buggies, everyone sitting inside with binos watching for birds. A big rip current sitting right in front of them and nobody fishing it. I dropped an atom 40 across it and hooked up first cast and the bass took me down east. When I got back there was a picket fence of "bird watchers" casting where I hooked up. It wasn't the biggest fish (I never weighed it) but these guys gawked at it like it was a monster. I figured they never fish at night.
But that is one advantage to daytime fishing over night: often, the birds can help you find fish schools.
