I was watching the YES network this evening, and since it's an off day for the Yankees, YES was playing a "classic", one of the dodger-yankees world series games.
One glaring difference in the game then, and now, is the pace of the game!
Geesh, if I didn't hear the announcers and realize this was "real time" I would have sworn they had the playback set in Fastforward.
The difference between those games and the stupid, long, games of today is striking.
Where on almost every pitch, a batter is stepping out, a pitcher is walking off the mound, or a catcher is running out to "confer" on signs.
Just play the game, dabnabit!
