btw low-end Grand Cherokee's can be had for much less... I just gave you the top $ pricetag

also, there is the option of going used, which is not a bad idea for a beach only vehicle.

that said, hope all works out with the used transfer case!

I actually prefer the 4.0 liter straight 6 motors on the older plain Cherokees.

3.6 Liter V6?

Well where else could it leak from? There or the actual housing itself right? It is different oil then that of the engine right?

T-case most likely has ATF in it.
Just keep in mind all leaks under the car drip down and rearward.

Well I saw the old case, deffinitely leaking at the seal. 4 X 4 working well now, lever is smooth as butter. Charged me $500.00 bucks for everything.
