Awesome! I'm glad you all had a good time, wish I could have been there. Great bunch of guys here!!! Great pictures too! I wish I could have been there however I was at Camelback trying to stay warm and hoping our Boy Scouts didn't require serious medical attention. Thankfully, we all came home unscathed.

Hello all!
I'll be selling my toyota tacoma xrunner this weekend and considering getting the 14' forester xt (for gas milage, light offroad capes, handling, speed etc as well as X-Mode) and I was wondering if IBSP would let me get a permit to fish with the forester.
This model has the x-mode for better traction (im sure most of you subi enthusiast know what this is).
-Will it be able to tackle getting on the beach at IBSP? I have already spoke to LBI's police dept and said it wouldn't be an issue getting one. I just wanted to get another opinion from you all from experience. Thanks!

I have very little experience when it comes to driving on the beach but I didn't have any problem getting on or off the beach that day. That was my first time out with the Forester.
I was very grateful to have that bunch of guys with me in case I did run into a problem.
That was a Forester without the x-mode. How much more the X-mode will help in the sand I don?t know. From the videos I?ve see with the X-mode in slippery conditions it worked great.
Best of luck with your new Forester. We have no complaints with ours.
