My friend Bob and I launched at Bass River at o dark hundred and motored a ways offshore to find excellent fishing for both Fluke and Black Sea Bass in 20+ feet of Nantucket Sound. Bob's best was a 5-1/2 lb. Bass and mine was a 2-1/2 lb. Fluke.

The Fluke were patsies for a Chartreuse Streamer and the Bass for a White one - dressed with Squid Strips, of Course.

What a great supper they made; Baked together with a bit of Old Bay and garlic.

These two are a couple of the reasons I moved to the Cape.

That sounds great Bill. I keep saying I'm gonna do some bottom fishing, but can't seem to quit the bass long enough. I'd rather eat a tasty sea bass or fluke any day over striper too. You're getting me psyched up for that!
