Default stop sign at the hook

Does any one know if they have the stop sign up on the way out to the rips. Thinking of walking out there on Wednesday. I know last year at this time you couldn't go past the sign. I caledl the ranger station and they don't know

I work at the Hook and I haven't heard anyone say there is a sign up. Just stay out of the roped (fenced in) areas and you should be fine.

Mike, they doing anything on bluefish out at the rip yet?

Usually there are some non-stop blitzes going on this week out there.

Rob
My cuz was out. From the kayak on Thurs and Fri just before the rips near the tip small 2-6 lb blues were on cut bunker. 40-50 foot off of shore. Not blitz like but he had over a dozen in a few hours.

ok, that's the size that's normally out there this time of year, if things go per my old logs. Beachgoers can have some great fun out there in the next week.

FOR FLY and LIGHT TACKLE ANGLERS: this size blue can be a TOTAL BLAST

The rips are to the right off the Fishermans trail from K Lot, they've always been open.

It's North beach, the NW corner, that get's roped off every year due to those $#&%^ birds. The string and signs should be going up soon if they're not up already - and you can't even access the area below the high tide line without risking a fine.
