Default Reel repair

Hi.... New to SS so like to say hi to all. Looking forward to reading and learning about surf techniques and reports.

I do have a question I live in south jersey (Collingswood area) and am looking for a place to take a reel for repair (if worth repairing). I have a Daiwa Emblem-Z 4500A which my brother gave to me. It looks like a nice reel and I did a little research and probably went for about $150.00 new so seems like it is worth repairing. The switch to reverse the spool direction seems to be broke. Basically goes in both directions. Has anyone had this problem and if so could it just be stuck and maybe I can fix myself? If not does anyone know of anyone in my area who does reel repair?

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you happen to get the schematic picture that usually comes with the reel?

No like I said my brother gave me the reel/rod combo. It just started to act up last week. I went online to Daiwa and put in the model but it said no such schematic????
