Default maybe heading out tonight?

Despite the 40mph gust predictions, may head out to MoCo tonight...haven't gotten out in about 10 days and seems like tonight is my only window. If anyone wants a partner PM me...Wong get on the sand until 8 or so...

20 mph winds is enough to stop me from going out. Can't imagine what casting directly into 40 is like. Be safe if your really going out

The nastier the better
But after 20 mph I lose feel of all lures and the south sweep brings even the heavy metals to your side by the time you reeled in the slack from the cast.
What do you throw or how heavy are the metals your throwing on 20+? I might be doing something wrong...

Great question. I have the same results as bunka. Is there a trick I don't know for heavy wind?

Just checked wind for tonight. Nowhere near 40. Going to hover around 20 with 8' swells

I'm no pro but if that wind is going the right way which I believe is directly in your face the fish are never more then 10/15 yards off beach , the bass I caught last night hit the plug a rod length away and hit it w some force they see it but can't stare at it , it's been a sure bet for me . Guy next to me was throwing the small swim shad and connecting

I wasn't talking about distance. Just maintaining a feel. Over 20 in the face creates a nice bow in the line, along with 8ft swells I tried throwing a 4, then a 6 ounce ava in similar conditions and it would be beached before I got the line in.
I think the wind the past week has been less than 20mph

I hear you on that but I look forward to thst wind I admit in can hamper ur choice in lures but as for feel I don't think they need to be fooled when the water is that way . I usually find myself turning my body to accomodate for the bow and have even put the tip underwater to cut down on the bow

Be safe out there anyone who goes! Im sure it will be big...In crapp wind/weather...I always throw Bens arch nemesis. ....the Bucktail! !! And needlefish or 007 AVA bump it up to a 17 if theres a strong sweep cast up tide and let it swing into the strike zone!!

Dan is right, if you can reach 3' of water you'll catch. FYI, don't wade into the water, you'll step on them

I got three choices, bt, MagDarter and a hooker popper, not just a popper more like a pencil pushing a lot of water
