Default knots

what knot should i use to tie 80 lb mono to 80 lb braid i have an old 9/0 with half a spool of 80lb mono and i would like to add about 400yds of 80lb braid
any suggestions on what knot to use

that's pretty thick stuff... I would think a uni-to-uni could handle that nicely. But do some searches and/or ask around.

I would think a Alberto, but then again I never used anything over 30 mono/30 braid

FG knot ia best for braid to mono according too many off the tests during the " Knot Wars"

The FG knot to was way too complicated especially on a moving boat .I've been tying the Alberto Knot for many years I believe it's easier and I found it to be plenty strong
as with any not if it is not tied correctly it will fail so attention to detail is needed
