Default 6/8 -6/10 = the Cape

gave the Trout streams a rest to a planned weekend to fish a few Cape Cod beaches . tides were not perfect & weather was not perfect ( sunny ) but you go when you can go . Helios 3D 8w & Mirage reel Orvis All rounder line 6' 30lbfloro / 3' 15lbfloro tippet EP anchovy / red fish over white clouser , med lead eyes was the better presentation with a . produced 11 striped bass w/ the best @ 26". you can really hear those seals barking coming from those Monomoy flats at great distances before sunrise & early am. It's always a great place to fish.

I'm a introductory rod owner for a few years . I like it alot ,its the Cadillac of rods and many of the Florida guides I fish with recommend using / learning it , have a Helios 3D also in a 12w , Recon in 10 w . I don't research and go nuts into this stuff I just wanted a high end rod . the choice was good I suggest you FREE demo cast one @ any Orvis shop but make sure you have an experienced sales person alongside of you when you do. The rod makes me look very good . Hope it helps

Thanks, I hear you, it's a personal choice depending on a lot of things.
