I am an NRA member for the next ten years so you do not have to go there. As my son said sitting across the kitchen table said the NRA are working people that like shooting and hunting, you, me and neighbors up and down the road.

What slightly bothers me with a membership they send you NRA stickers or decals which you never see attached to anything. The same with Make America Great hats.

My dark side says I will creep up on a liberal's car and attach my NRA sticker to their car's bumper.

Frankly ( haha )....I'm amazed that you are so active on here. One day I did not see much action so I thought, well good for Frank, he has the good sense to take a day off. But you eventually showed up. I figured you might have been knee deep in the honeydo list of the day.

Whenever I hear half or one in ten or any percentage of success or failure, I picture a firing squad. Joe, you have 1 chance in ten standing here that it won't be you...I'm sweating it, Joe your odds are about as bad as the lottery winning ticket..not sweating that one. 50 /50 ...nothing about that number makes me feel good when we are talking marriage success. I agree with Frank that picking the right mate is THE most important decision in your life. I must have had good odds because we have been laughing for almost 48 years.

Some groups exaggerate but once clear of the politics, I believe in stats. Easily half of my friends got divorced. I have a daughter that has been married three times.

uncle Bob ( Korean War veteran ) walked down the aisle once but was married 3 other times by the local justice of the peace . Wasn't easy man to get along with. When he told family he was getting married again for the 5th time . We ask if this was going to be the last . His reply was " yes " . What made him real sure is that the gal was 30 years younger than he was @ 82 years old.

Success is not just "picking" the right mate, but "being" the right mate.

My wife was 16 when I ruined her life. I promised myself that I would make it up to her as soon as I could. I worked two jobs to pay for putting her through college where she graduated magna-cum-loude. Masters Degree came later. She was later offered the principals job but she told them "I have to fish commercially with my husband." We have been throwing each other lifelines for 61 years.

Remember, bouys and curls, this thread is about policy

Should I close this down?
The consensus here is that you should not close this down.

Just getting that out there

But strange on the stripersurf.con site, we got a bunch of guys who hang in the "new jersey fishing" forum who won't venture either here to your forum or to other places on the SSC site (other subforums) for whatever reason known only to them.

This happens elsewhere (other fishing web sites) not just here, and for a variety of reasons, explanations of which are above my pay grade.

I missed posting yesterday to play blackjack at the local casino. While we were making money at the casino ($650) we lost $12,000 on the stock market. Oh well, easy come, easy go.

You only lost it if you sell.

True, Rob. The market has been good to us. Those dividend checks ...... pennies from heaven.

My wife goes nuts when we get the cards. First shoe, opening the table, blackjacks, double-downs, splits that won. We opened with a $100 each and had 500 within minutes. Might have been the pizza and beer we had before that. It got so good that we were betting $30 at a $15 table. Should have bet a hundred!
