Thumbs up Re: Sept. & October Fishing Reports 2017

Thanks for all the kind words & wishes! I'll be out on the water tomorrow in my friends boat, mostly just hanging out for me while he fishes. He wants me there so I can put him on fish LOL. He must think that I actually catch when I go out
Anyway, if someone is interested in making me look good, PM me a bite you know of. We are launching out of Leonardo

BB, out there I think you just have to find the bait, and you'll find a bite

Hope you recover well, and have a great day on the water!

Question Re: Sept. & October Fishing Reports 2017

Did the boat thing today. Raritan bay 8am-4pm. We drifted live eels. About 8 spots, covered LOTS of ground. NJ & NY waters. Tons of boats out. I did not see even 1 bass or blue boated all day.

Out yesterday morning for dawn patrol. Worked the area for a couple of hours with nothing to show for it. Lots of bait in the water. Saw fish busting the water about 1/2 mile off the beach.

SH last night. Outgoing. 11:30 till 3:30AM. Had to fish with the falling barometer. Glad I did. Just had to cast straight up in the air with a strong SW wind. 3 keepers 1 at 33" and 2 at 32" along with 3 shorts. They all hit different plugs. The late night shift is tough, but no one else around.

You and Pete have to break away from Bayyaker for one of the night tours. I'm sure we'll see each other soon.

nice work Bill; I'm wondering after the heavy South today whether to go out early tomorrow or give it an extra day to clean up and go Thursday; this time of the year it's hard to predict

No NB, it,s the mid sized mag 5", although I have several of those ready to throw. The fish last night hit all sizes and colors and shapes. Blurple Danny metal lip, medium sized mag darter on light colors, small red and gold MD, and custom painted swimmer. Not epic but it kept me awake.
