I have been fishing all winter catching schoolies with the occasional keeper size. Waiting for spring to arrive.

went to my fave local beach spot today to check it post storm; last year was ruined by beach fill and bigger bass never moned in; looked great today; beach was nice and wide and the breakers, cuts, etc look like Mother Nature putt hem back where they belong; getting itchy

I tried another flatwing, it?s crazy how something dry looks totally different wet, good thing is, that?s what I was looking for.

Also important to watch how the fly behaves underwater with different types of strips or movements, then dead drifted (still).

The undulations / flutters etc provide triggers.

Robs mentioned about under water action . Just like to add another feature of making / tying .
Casting ability . I found that using little amount of epoxy made the fly very castable . Not to add too much which overload , would not glide through the air as well . Like Clousers can break your tie tip very easily epoxy can also . Those you can give your friends as teasers .
