As much as I want to get down and throw my new yellow green point pencil I got from you, I'm sure today is a crap show down there. No patience for people anymore.
I even turned down a boat trip today as I don't want to deal with the traffic trollers.
Next week when it cools down I'll hit the evening into the dark attempt.
Made the wife breakfast and sitting on the deck listening to the birds. It's relaxing. Mabey a little afternoon trout fishing today followed up by a lawn fertilizer and a cold beer.
just don't mix up the beer and the fertilizer

Don, I was able to get out for an hour looking for shad below Lambertville yesterday afternoon with exactly the same results. Cold hands and chocolate water, and all for only 20 minutes driving.

Out last night in the back bay for a couple hours around the high from the surf - skunk for me.

Missed my only two hits of the night and my buddy dropped his only fish.

I was fishing a spot you probably know well in Monmouth county. 1oz bucktail white with a white gulp bouncing the bottom did the trick.

Launched my kayak yesterday ( Thursday 04/19) for the first time this season...drizzly, windy and kind of cold day...7am to 2pm...Raritan bay...trolled back and fort with x-raps, shads and bucktails...10ft to 20ft of depth...fish was scattered around ...caught 14 up to 24"...no keeper for me...

my inlet down south had a lot of schoolies 16-24in on Wednesday; small plastics on jig heads; I arrived and tried today but the wind stopped it dead; gusts on jetty were 20+ easily and no one got a hit; but the numbers this week picked up my spirits for next week

Out in nomoco, 4 shorts, the seals were eating good, thought they were eating bunker, but it could have been the young-of-the-year.. Between Predators and people taking shorts, our striped ones don?t have a chance.
