There was another fisherman out there, but I didn't ask, we were not properly introduced.

Jellies suck, but my personal biggest concern is getting stuck by a stingray. I've been convinced by the regulars who fish there all the time to wear my waders when I walk behind IBSP of an evening. They say that there are lots of the things and that they shuffle against them regularly.

^^ have fished the back where your describing. Besides rays , broken glass , metal , wood , clams . Sims wading booties are comfortable and very safe . I purchased the neoprene socks to go along with them . It's perfect for warm waters & summertime temps .

I gotta go out and catch me some. I should be able to break away after this weekend. My daughters mini flip is killing me. I've been out of touch with reality for the last 5 weeks

Since fluke fishing has been in limbo I have concentrated on porgies...Yesterday I went for a solo trip to couple of my favorite holes in Long Island Sound near City Island...a cool and overcast day ...nice change from hot and humid trips..porgies were there active and biting ..these day every little pile of rock has porgies on them...used clams and little jigs...kept 8 and released everything under 12"...caught over 2 dozen with bunch of sea robins and one 9" fluke...boat traffic was very light with water temperature around 73F

Nice catching Comp. I hope to be back out this coming week after this bogus weather event we're supposed to have.

Hopped on board the Stephanie Too yesterday w/Capt. Maui Jim for a little fishing in the calm before the storm.

Plan was to blackfish until we ran out of crabs and then a little fluking afterwards and the togging was pretty good!

I got my first 10# blackfish of the year on a jig which was great. One of the other guys got a 8#er also on a jig.

Only 1 triggerfish this trip which was released.

The single porgy is for the guys who were asking why the last couple of pictures didn't have hundreds of porgies

The larger fluke was about 4-5#.

Biggest sea robin I have ever seen in my life!

Got an 80-100# ray that took my crab while we were togging. Finally got it boat side after a long battle on a light freshwater St. Croix rod. That was fun for the first two minutes...lol
