back at the tog again; bite is constant; fish all pretty small but two biggest were close to 12in; I'm working at it; won't say I'm better but I am less bad at it

well to slightly tweak the Don Williams classic, I'm "Livin' on Toggin Time"; bite is constant but mostly small; regulars tell me as water cools down the bite will slow and the tog will get bigger; will wait and see but for now they are keeping me nice and busy

There are also micro spots that will yield fewer bites but bigger fish' though what you were told is generally true

Asking around "usually" won't get you the best spots

We have spots where you can catch 100 fish, but 99 will be small, others where you will catch maybe 10 but they will all be larger.

It is also generally true about the larger fish being caught when the water cools, but I'm never sure if that's because all those pesky sea bass, and smaller tog move out, or if the larger tog move in.

I got out to feel the sun and smell the salt earlier in the week in south Seaside. My goal was t have a little fun with the snappers and maybe a little bigger blue or two, so I threw chunks on a 5/0 hook.
I ended up with lots of snappers and tailors and 3 almost keeper size fluke.

to clarify, "ask around" should have been checking with the 4-5 guys I see everyday; we do share info and they have been helpful to me in my togging

Just curious to hear other opinions on this subject...

I am trying to recall the last time I've seen cocktail blues this prolific around the southern beaches and bays... (Below/South of LBI).

For me, it almost feels like the late 70's early 80's.

I've only been keeping a log for salt/surf for the last ~6 years so its pretty fuzzy beyond that.

Still lots of peanuts and adult bunker in the back of RB . They seemed in no hurry to go anywhere.
