Does anyone live in the union area and know when the services are. I would like to pay my respects. I didn?t know him but fishing out there for many years I might have seen him and given him a nod and said, how you doin. Very sad to lose one of our own.

the article I read said he went in the surf to retrieve tackle that had washed in and he was swept out. The swells were serious that day and they can be deceptive since there are no real breakers til the wash and you can underestimate the power. Such a sad thing. We can all identify. Again sympathy to the family and a reminder to be safe
