You have a good son, Bay. Not many would stop and take a picture

That's some skinny water for some big fish!

Hey Bay,

Looks like fine weather and no mosquitos.
What size fly rod is that you're chewing on?
Have a great trip.

These fish are like a bluefish on steroids, find a deep hole and bang away

got to beach at 5:45 for first trip; 5 guys there with one hooked up; got first on second cast; ended with about 15; two biggest were 24-25 in plus a nice 4lb blue that inhaled the rear treble on the SP; 10 min of dental surgery; switched to a single hook metal and worked fine; highlight of the day was a guy who was fighting a nice fish and we all thought it was a 20lb bass; gets on the beach with an 8lb blue that was fouled hooked on his teaser in front of the dorsal fin; feels like I'm back; need to go earlier tomorrow

I was trolling on Sunday form a kayak from 5am in the morning to 1PM in RB around Keyport area...endured wind and rain ...ended up with 0 fish...I did mark some fish early but no hits...tried everything ...water was colder 5 degrees compared to Thursday...was that the reason or maybe high degree of stain due to Saturday wind ...any insight?

From what I have see over there it looks like they moved towards the island and away from this side.

My 2 pennies anyway. That is where I usually fish also

Moco Outfront 3p to the top of the tide at 5p. SSE wind. I'm right handed and was on the fly casting lefty so as not to impale a half and half in my ear! No luck, but good practice anyway. I saw a dead sticker catch ten or so striped shorts on sand worms. A few pluggers had no more success than I did.

It looks like Thursday morning I'll take a stab at blues behind IBSP. High tide is about 10:00 and the winds are forecast to be calmish.

You were correct ...that day the action was in triangle area of RB...but yesterday bass was found around Keansburg again...it is tough-to predict the movements

out again about 5; fave area already had 6 guys there; need to set alarm earlier tomorrow; much quieter than yesterday; ended with 2 and dropped a couple; bite was "soft" with lots of taps with no take; two keepers by the group, both released and one buddy had a 16 lb blue Boca weighed; wind shift today should help
