Last night decided to go to the dark side and throw bunker chunks (first mistake), took both my conventional chunking rods (second mistake ). 10#+ blues moved in about 7:30. After several double hook ups, 3 lost rigs and one horrendous tangle of both lines I managed to land only 2.
After dark had two good runoffs and one more lost rig---shoulda checked both lines-knots after the blues left.

Got to the hook around 2, low tide south wind no fish

Moved to a river and bunker were present. One boat Guy drifting live bunker was hooking up w short to keeper bass on almost every drift for an hour solid. Once the river slacked up so did there bite. Not a tap on a variery of plugs, not even on my glider
No love for me from shore except snagged bunks.

Moved to a back area only to find a few small blues
Nice day none the less..

Thanks for the advice newbie, I'll be sure to take that into consideration.
I posted such a banner report I'm sure people who are washing this wedside are following my footsteps in the sand for my 3 bluefish I caught in the "back area"

If the Sun stays out and the weather is warm this weekend and throughout the summer, I know now I can blame Dave for the huge crowds on the beaches. Maybe Dave can arrange for a percentage of the entrance fee at the front gate??? What's next?? Bayyaker helping Princess Piping Plover put up the Bird sanctuary signs!!
Happy Fluke season to all!!!

I took it as a clear if backhanded compliment on Dave's NOT burning the various "spots" he referenced. Subtlety is definitely wasted on this crowd.

Does the Plover Protection Order closure include the Bug Light area?

Joseph....if sublety was the goal, I guess we missed it; it does take a little clever twist in the words to make it work; if that was the intent then so be it; lets go back to fishing wherever you think they're biting
