cj's right, balston seems to be clean when every place else is munged in. I've had some wild nights there with lots of 30# plus fish. Haven't been down in a year plus and with this new moon, and maybe a southwest wind things could beright. Large mouth, let me know how you do! Balston is a little off from lots of beachs, couple hours either side of low is good in some spots, 1 or 2 from high is good in others. beach changes with every storm. TIGHT LINES!!

sounds good, I'll let you know how things go. Can anyone tell me how to get to Balston? I'll be coming from the Marshfield area, and assume I am taking 3 south over the Sagamore to 6.

take rt 6 towards provincetown to the pamet roads Truro Center exit off rt 6. At ramp end, go right, then at the intersection, go left to ballston (which is all the way at end of road) or if you need bait go right at same intersection, and then quick left after you go under bridge and the pamet bait and tackle is right there at the next intersection on the corner. Live eels is a ballston top choice, as is the night 1st part of the outgoing tide. dont be afraid to walk the beach, there are interesting holes to fish in both directions of the lot.

Just got back from a nice weekend in Truro. Two bass on Friday night in Highland area - one 42 incher, 25 pounds on the boga, the other 39 inches, 22 pounds on the boga. Live eels. No mung. Storm on Saturday forced us off the outer beaches - gale force winds blowing Saturday and Sunday, so we picked up a few cocktail blues at Herring Cove.
