Default power eels?

Picked up a pack of 10" black Berkely Power Eels. They just looked...useful. Anyone have tales of success with them? I am guessing fish them with 1-2oz egg sinkers in current?

I used them once dead drifted in a breachway. I did get a few shorts on it, and they didn't hit anything else that I drifted that night.

I agree though that they are a little thin for use in saltwater fishing. I wish you could load them like a sluggo.

I have high hopes for them slow trolled behind my kayak, maybe even on a 3-way or umbrella rig.

Red face Re: power eels?

Cabelas had a tent sale in August. 10" Turtle Back Power worms .99cnts a pack, reg. $4.99. Looked good to me, bought 10-6 packs. havn't tried them yet.Going to Rock Hall Md.on the Chesapeake next week. Lots of schoolie Bass in the middle bay. Going to give them a try there.(sorry Yoda) If they don't work there they probably won't work any where. I guess I'll have to eat them...they do look tasty! Esp.the Black with Red flakes.
