12th ANNUAL FISHERMAN’S FLEA MARKET
Berkeley Striper Club hosts event at New Location in Seaside Heights

(Seaside Heights, NJ) – Berkeley Striper Club is excited to announce their 12th Annual Fisherman’s Flea Market to be held Sunday, March 4, 2007 from 9:00am-2:00pm at a new location, the Hugh J. Boyd Jr. Elementary School on Bay Boulevard in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Admission is $3 per person and children under 10 are free. Food and refreshments will be sold and door prizes will be awarded throughout the day.

The show will feature a mix of vendors and merchandise with custom, antique, new, and used saltwater & freshwater fishing tackle and equipment. Fishermen are sure to find great deals among the known area custom plug makers, such as Bass-Wood Lures, Big Don’s Wooden Plugs, Billy McFadden, Gary “2” Hull, Choopy Lures and PA Surfer and many others. The show will also feature vendors that specialize in custom tackle, rod building and other unique products related to the sport, such as Betty & Nick’s Bait & Tackle, The Dock Outfitters, Scott’s Bait & Tackle, NJ Tackle, Grumpy’s Bait & Tackle, and Peterson Custom Rod & Tackle. Antique and collector items will also be available, which are unique in that they cannot be acquired at bait & tackle shops. Berkeley Striper Club is known for hosting one of the best Fisherman’s Flea Markets in the Jersey Shore area.

The Berkeley Striper Club consists of approximately 200 members from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. They promote conservation and sportsmanship, as well as, take an interest in supporting the views of recreational anglers. Well, I didnt do as good as I thought... Came home with some plugs I really didn't need , but did pick up a knife and LED light I did need... Was good talking with Tinman, Jess, Blitzboy, MrWoodwork, DJ Muller, and Wildbob.
If you went, what did you blow your money on? I swore I was just going to pick up essentials, but the damn plugs kept catching my eye... At least I didnt buy any rods and reels...

Thanks for reminding me. Members got "Pink" wristbands to wear (not that there's anything wrong with that). I just noticed that I've been wearing it all day! LOL

There definatly was more room, which is a good thing. And the fact that they didnt wait until 9:00 on the nose to start entry was nice, didnt have to hang around in the cold too long. All in all, a pretty good affair!

Higher ceiling and brighter walls made for a more airy effect. Parking was plentiful and closer to the building. I thought it was nice.
