Went out for the first day of the Atlantic County Derby yesterday, caught no fish but had to pull a few Greenhorns out of the sand - 2 jeeps and 2 Chevy's, these guys didn't realize they had to air down before going on the sand. It took a Toyota to pull these American trucks out - Toyota, the Heart beat of America!

Saw one guy pull a 24" Fluke from the surf, hopefully there are a few left. glad I netted a bunch of Mullet last week since it looks like they are gone.

Went out yesterday at high tide and threw mullet into the wind...nothing doing, not even any snappers...switched to the the fluke rigs this morning at first light and had more of the same nothing but wind. No structure to the Stone Harbor beaches. I can't want to get back to IBSP....well, almost...the beachfront condo I am visiting is great ;-) But still too tempting to fish...It IS an illness ;-)

Sorry to get back to you guys late, the bass and blues were 25". I caught one bass and a few blues on the old school MagDarter one other bass on a Diawa chugger minnow and two more blues on a Diawa salt minnow. FYI, if the bait is getting banged in the wash, don't cast out, cast down the beach only about 10 feet out. They were running the lip

Just got back from fishing a local inlet, a lot of guys fishing but no fish caught. Decided to walk the beach and cast at jetties but nothing seemed to hit anything i threw. Maybe is was because of the roughness of the water?

Out front North MOCO from 430-730. Surfers everywhere catching some nice waves. Bucktailed the entire time, had one good whack but missed him. Saw some guys catch a few shorts. I am psyched for the start of the fall run!!!

Got out with a few of the Killer B's only ones missing were Blaze and Brui I managed one short bass, one blue and and two fluke. Lots of bait early on in the light, but not when it counted, in the dark. Picked up all four on the shiner color MagDarter. Yesterday I had what Blaze called, The Perfict Storm. The magic hr (that false light)my fav. Tide(last half of the outgoing) and bait Today not so much. My three associates tonight didn't do as well as I had hoped.
