Also, anyone that fishes by the pipe in SL needs to know that they are blocking beach access, with signs that read "Dredging Area." There are big piles of sand and black pipes lying on the beach.

Fished up and behind SH area - buddy landed a nice 30" bass and a few other shorts. I managed a 23" and a nice blue

BAIT BAIT BAIT - pnuts and shad and mullet. Threw thr cast net a few times and could have filed a 55 drum with pnuts easily.

Fish were at the end of the cast on a teaser (bass) and green ss needle (bluefish).

Back out for a quick walk at dawn this morning and had a short bass on the first cast. Hit came in the wash on the same green needle. Windy but not nearly as bad as I anticipated. Dropped one a bit later and got a cast out towards a pod of albies that went airborne for a moment or two.
Do you have a boat named Neversink?

I think I saw you launching at Atlantic Highlands marina over the summer.

Fished OC rocks a couple hours around dawn this morning looking for bass but came up short. Birds were on lots of bait out of casting range again. Spent rest of the morning scoping out some back bay spots I've only ever been to at night.

Fished Sandy Hook from surf this time...6.30am to 1.30PM...strong east wind and heavy surf in the morning...very fish-able...temps in 60ties...caught 8 shorts up to 24" and 2 blues...all stripers were caught right there in the wash which was full of baitfish...very enjoyable outing ..even had one double...thought it was a keeper...water was very clean with some weeds

Ohhhhh, that's what a Bass looks like. Maybe I'll recognize 1 when (and if) I catch my first one of the fall.

winds have surf unfishable here; small bass in back; last two nights back has been unreal with bait being slashed everywhere....and no bites; unless you have what they are feasting on you strike out; amazing to watch and frustrating; waves have had bridge to Sea Isle closed every high tide; winds calmimg overnight and will try surf in morning in jetty pockets; what a stretch of wind

Haven't posted in a long time. Had no luck fluking this summer. Got out last night out front at SH. First cast got my storm bit in half from a blue attached another one second cast after that picked up my first bass of the fall. Only 24" but was great to fight something again. Not a tap after the sun went down.

down here it seems the flatter surf is more susceptible to the big blow, up nawth it seems you can get out and over into good water a bit easier, or perhaps just the trough is enough to allow better fishing close in, during a blow.

Went out last night, not a tap with that big spotlight in the sky until first light and the sun started coming up. Went one weakie shy of the NJ cycle, short fluke, two blues and a bass that just hit the 28inch mark. Bass and blues were on top water. Water seemed to calm down a bit so you could time your cast with breaking waves.
