Here's a clearer pic of the work. 706 on top 710 bottom. A friend did the milling for me. Works great, took a sandy wave this morning, couple cranks and sand and water gone back in business

Wow nice work! I was pretty disappointed when my 706 fouled up on me, but they had a new one sent to me inside of a week. Gotta love Penn service. I was planning to drill just 4 holes in the side, but it'd be great to have something like this done. Thanks for sharing

Old school with a new school look. Add a decent drag stack and you are all set.
I have two 705 that are slotted and drilled cups.
They are all the look of the vs but just not water proof.
Noce job Don, I always liked your 706

Out last night for a couple hours. Nothing to report. Threw a bucktail, mag darter, needle, SP, tin and vision surf eel.

Went out with an old buddy of mine yesterday. Scouted a few spots didnt see any baitfish pods. threw the bag and didnt get a bump so we ended up dead sticking and catching up. we fished from 2-8pm. nothing all day until dark, ended with 3 short bass to 24". it was a hot day, water wasn't too rough, wind wasn't bad.

nice work and of course lightens the reel significantly

Out last night til dawn. Nada, only a couple of hits, lost way to many plugs and got the snot kicked out of me on the rocks. Still a pretty good sweep where I was and a few rogue waves I didn't count on. No signs of life.

Last night midnight thru dawn w a break in the middle. Threw a wide range but one tap on a bomber early on was it for me. Conditions were great at dawn too. Storm really coated the jetty rocks w extra layers of scum- use extra caution if that's your thing

Got out last night for a couple hours, nada. Anyone seeing bait?

Rob, not sure about the weight. Next time I break it down I'll take the rotor over to PO.

Fished Sandy Hook from 3PM to 8Pm on Thursday...beautiful conditions ...high tide around 5.30pm...sunset around 6.30pm...light wind at 5mph with gusting up to 20 mph. Water very clear with medium surf and nice foam...temps in 60ties...had high expectation but did not get even a single tap..try everything in the bag. There were 8-10 people fishing with me but I did not see anybody else catching something either...the only fish caught was a shark by a bait fisherman...well, there is always next time....first skunk of the year... probably not the last

Day two of the skunking, hit it from 6:30 to midnight. Threw the bag, not a tap.
