OK, it looks like I will have to head for the beach one of these afternoons and catch the evening action. (I will definitely have to take a nap to prepare.) I will also have to remember to bring my head lamp. Maybe I might catch sight of a Bee.

hit beach in Sebastian early am; lots of bait in wash as we recover from wind and rain for a few days; 2 Jacks for me was it; saw some bait flurry and checked it out and saw the small black fin come up so I thought "do I cast at it and hook up; lose the rig but gain a story"; decided to keep the rig and lose the story; freshwater tomorrow; still hoping for good news on the bass run

Rainy Tuesday. High tide is around 0935. East wind. Might be a good morning to visit the Hook.

It was a great morning for a walk out to the rips. The neep tide was way up and the outgoing was getting underway when I got out there. There were 8 or 10 other guys fishing, but not a soul catching for the couple hours I was able to stay. Actually, that's not quite right. A fly rod waver said he'd landed 2 Hickory Shad and one guy said he'd caught a keeper, but that had been around 0830, and he hadn't had a bump since.

It sure did look like there should have been fish around, though.

Moco Outfront On the fly 3P 5P to the bottom of the tide. East wind with light misty rain. My glasses need windshield wipers. No luck today.

more news fro down in FL; freshwater been slow due to high water temps; using live shiners and had a nice whack, pulled bobber down, set the hook....and a 12 in long turtle had taken the bait; still swimmimg, or whatever they do; nice morning on the beach with Jacks hitting top waters at first light

Agreed. Just put it in my bag last night. Thinking flag instead of siwash/inline. Rui, any opinion?

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm not clear on which hook to change. Are you recommending swapping out one for a single rather than a treble?

...Put a single hook on the belly and leave the tail treble or visa versa?
Cheers!

Usually the rear treble is removed, what you replace it with (if you do) depends on personal preference but, the builder designed the plug and it's action with the hooks that are in the package.....
Go to that video web site and search for this: Outflow Fishing Presents: The One Hook Solution. Rigging Saltwater Lures For Use With One Hook
