Picker, I believe that there is a place for some commercial fishing...

But if attitudes and technology, and flawed data, etc...continue as of now....( which they will)

Most Comm. Fishing Boats will disappear, just like the GREAT WHALE, COD ships...

My opinion...I use History as a guide,(and facts) and most people forget, or know nothing about History.

What do you know? I am funny...news to me...

Speaking of History Mr. Bent, you educate me about the illustrious history of commercial fishing, and I will never mention the subject again...

Don't give me: we feed the world crap...people are starving right now in countries that USED to have teaming seas filled with fish...

I am all eyes, I want to learn...no oke this time.

you:re realy out there mr catch. its very simple. if we kept going in the fishing practices we did years ago - we all would be out of buisness, because we would have wiped out all fish stocks off this earth.

lets talk today.i cant fish anymore like was done years ago. its a very controled enviroment. there are many problems with the way its done .

this country needs a strong commercial fleet.i said it many times mr catch and its true.fish is another food source and ignorant recs think farm raised fish is a solution. i bet you thats where the diseased stripers came from that are killing our oceans.

SO MOVE OVER MR CATCHANDKILL, and make room for me

What the *ell do you mean?, we don't have the same practices as yesterday...

Chilean sea bass is being decimated right now, as we type, by modern and educated comms like you...

These fish are old, they grow very slow, and once they are gone, they are gone...

I am waiting for the ILLUSTRIOUS HISTORY of commercial fishing, so I can shut-up.

I am funny ain't I?

Anyway Bent..you keep on typing, and I keep on replaying...

The fish stocks and the oceans, are NOT just the East Coast...fish migrate...Nature is rooled up like a ball of string...you cut here and there, and pretty soon the damn ball falls apart...

Do you know that the good old USA has ONLY 300,000,000 people, and the rest of the world HAS 8,000,000,000...hello...

WE ARE NOT THE WORLD....the rest of the oceans...not including the EAST COAST (pretty close)...are DEAD, or are on their last GASP...

Hello...is anybody there?...

Love typing vs your types...

WHERE IS THE ILLUSTRIOUS HISTORY OF COMM. FISHING? SO I CAN SHUT-UP?.

Mr CnR I think the point that is trying to be made is . In our little piece of the ocean we are doing our parts to let the stocks rebuild .
"Chilean sea bass is being decimated right now, as we type, by modern and educated comms like you..."
(above was part of a post by CnR)
I fully understand what you are trying to say but I don't think comparing the US commercial fleet to the worlds fleets is fair . Do you know one of the laws or Regs that we MUST abide by ?
I think that we are doing more then our part to help the stocks rebuild .

Hey Picker..do you think that the want of the rest of the word's fleet of a piece of what's left on the East Coast....tells you anything?

I think, Picker, the rest of the Oceans are DEAD, or dying, and the comms of the world only have the rest of East Coast to finish off...

Sorry Picker, you seem like a sensible guy, but I see THE DEAD SEAS IN FRONT OF ME AND MY OFFSPRING.

Mr. CnR I fully understand what you are saying . However I just put down a monthly publication that says . All around the world laws and regs are getting stiffer . I no that the magazine that I'm referring to is biased toward us . But I don't think that they could make this stuff up .
I know this for a fact I couldn't imagine stiffer regs for us here.
