I just got home from the Refuge
I fished from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm
3 hrs of nonstop action I fished
the same spot as last time, end of
the lot one board walk to the left
about 100 steps all caught on plastics
and needle fish lures, the bass were
smaller than my last time there none
over 30 inches but over 40 bass caught
and 6 blue fish.

Great news Bob!

Also good to see some of you folks back from the darkside of the moon. Was beginning to think the regulars had abandoned posting reports on all websites.

is the river mouth dead now or is it just me??
I fished today(saturday) from low tide 1pm until two hours after high tide 9pm...nothing..and I didn't see any of the other dozens catch anything either.

and before you ask, I fished with select worms, clams and mackeral...and a couple different size hooks on fishfinder rigs, and even different combonations of bait on high low bait rig. I also tossed out some storm wild eye swim shad.

G
Night time is the right time now.
The stripers slug off about now.
Waters are too warm.
I was gonna go tonight but I was told that with this dead calm the skeeters are ferocious!
Whats a girl to do?
Greenheads that eat you alive in the day or skeeters at night?
Watch the weather reports.
I am waiting for an east wind.
It's too damn hot to be covered from head to toe and I am allergic to deat.
Wait for the weather to break.

You can find me there a couple of nights a week depending on what's up in my life. I fish lot one and to the left. throw soft plastics and bombers and needle fish lures
bait and wait is for lazy day timers.
I have luck on all tide but best during high going out to about mid tide

bob I love the "bait if for lazy day timers"
you are also the only one reporting catching anything at PI on lures....
if you read the surfland reports on you know where they say bait is the way right now.
thanks for the report and the confidence that it IS possible to catch stripers at PI right now with articials
