Fished the last of the West and the first
few hours of the East in the West End Capeside.
Between three of us we caught 6 Bass.
A 17 lb and a 15 lb on heads during slack.
Two 28" on Darters.
A 26" and a 25" on Poppers.
Lot's of breaking Bass early A.M.
LARGE schools of breaking fish kept going
through late A.M.
Think they were Bonito or Albies but I'm
not sure. They were smaller fish, you could
see them come patially out of the water.
I don't think they were Stripers or Blues.
WE HAD A GREAT DAY !!!!
Things are looking up !!!!

There is a good possibility they were small blues. They have been murdering baby bunker for a couple weeks now.But mostly at the East end so could be albies.

Fished the East End of the Canal on Sunday and Monday mornings. Both days saw plenty of small bass and blues.Cape side on the end of the jetty saw a great deal of action on Sunday morning. Guys lucky enough to be there had a reel good time throwing small poppers and silver. As you can guess, I was on the mainland side that day and had to settle for watching all the fun from afar.Oh well, maybe next time. Glad to hear that maybe some albies were on the west side though. I realy love those speedsters. Can never get enough of them on light tackle. Going on a charter out of Dennis this Saturday, hope to hook into some footballs out on the backside of Nantucket. Wish me luck.

I beleive what you saw were bonito. I went down to the power plant yesterday after work when the tide was shifting from east to west and you could see them coming the only thing was is that they were runing right along the rocks and they were wasteing no time they were moving very quickly
