Default Ford Escape

Does anyone have or know of someone who has a Ford Escape and runs the beaches? A buddy of mine has one but is afraid to try it on the beach. He thinks is doesn't have enough clearance. I know I've seen vehicles (south end of Brig) with less clearance then what he has but was posting to see if anyone know how they handle on most beaches...

well I have a new 2010 Escape but I'm not running it on the beach anytime soon.

I can say that the new one has at least as much clearance as my 05 Jeep Liberty.

As like any SUV it will work as long as your smart about it.
Your biggest concern will be deep ruts that will bottom you out.

They come in AWD or 4WD. You didn't mention which one he has. If it is 4WD there won't be a problem.
