I was looking at some spots today in the Shrewsbury (from shore).

I was curious about opinions (not hot spots, although you can email those ) about:
- what time of year is best for upriver fishing
- what is expected? small blues? schoolie stripers?
- if you had a choice of incoming or outgoing, which do you think would be best? Of course, this probably ties into season.
- what time of day?
- also what type of bait/lure/fly?

My thoughts are early season outgoing, late season incoming, morning light and summer at nights.

Of course, this may apply to upriver Navesink (or other places???) as well.

Thanks for any and all thoughts...
