Default Navesink tagging this year

Long time no post...

Different #'s than last year. We didn't do as many bass since "everybody" does bass. Largest bass was only 20".
Weakfish I caught/tagged this year were larger - most were over NJ keeper size-13" and as large as 20".
More bluefish with different size ranges. Spring gators @28" down to snappers @8.5"

12 Bass(1st fish released 5/3/07)
26 Weakfish(last fish released 10/2/07)
51 Bluefish(30 snappers) 21 other than snappers.

The "system" was pulled out of Navesink week of 10/31/07. This was longer than last year, but still not with confirmation that all fish had left...
Months of number checking to get done. Even with acoustic tracking systems there are lots 'o errors that create false "hits" that need to get checked out before they get eliminated or confirmed as really being a fish.

Last year we had 3 weakfish, 4 striped bass, and 3 bluefish that traveled to Deleware Bay and were "heard" in their system before the batteries died or the fish moved on.

btw, got a 25" bass last Tuesday in the "upper" Shrewsbury, had a couple of other hits, and marked lots of bait by yak.
