hit Sea Bright today; 2 hrs before high until 2 hrs post; about 10-12 guys; total of 50-60 fish caught; spread all down the beach; no blitz just steady; think all shorts; most on shads or white bucktails with white plastics; all in the wash; was nice that I think everyone caught fish and they were spread out so plenty of room

well the fish were spread out over a long stretch of beach but I agree there will be a crowd unless the wind chill in the 20s keeps some away; I'll be back Monday early to try again

Didn't have to deal with the crowds yesterday, seen five other boats all day.X

We finished the day 7 for 10 to 45" on the troll.

Tried cleaning the boat and instead just created a giant icicle.

No, but I fished it from the boat and had fish within casting range of the beach today.

The bunker pods were holding in tight to the beach at times. Between Shark River and Sandy Hook.

The "RUN" is here and the bite is on...

B & Ns reports larger fish on bunker within reach; hoping someone here can confirm; it's looking like we are finally picking up and can't wait to hear a report; I plan on getting to beach like 4am tomorrow

My friend sent me a pic from Asbury which looked like a boating parking lot this am.
This is fun?

On the boat today got a few fish lots of adult bunker mile north of shark river, within range! Still loads of fish in the bay but seem to be on the smaller side. Herd of a good bite at lavallete don't know how close the bunker came in.

Just got back home, but was out around 11pm to 3:30am. Picked out 11, six keepers up to 34”and dropped just as many, mostly on a darter and a couple on the mag. Everything was on the incoming. Bite shut down with the change over. Nice to finally get out, just bought a house so been busy getting settled but thankfully it seems I didn’t miss much the past month.

Good liveliningXbite on Saturday in the freezing temps, almost every bunker pod we checked was holding fish and a lot were tight to the beach (NW wind kept pushing us out).

Only seen oneXsurf fisherman and he wasn't wearing wadersXand couldn't reach them from way up the sand but there areXopportunities if you put your time in.

Good job John...bass cannot pass by north Jersey shore without you being on the top of them...
Let me continue my new fishing "episode" from yesterday...
Location - LI Sound....6am until 3pm...30F in the morning and mid 40 in afternoon...water was like a glass in the morning until 10 mph south wind started around 2pm...4 kayaks...early bass blitz that lasted about an hour ...got one 28.5" keeper with over 10 shorts...then went to try some black-fishing...the usual spots did no work and we found some new ones closed to the deep water...I guess the big freeze pushed the fish deeper...we had a blast for several hours...for the first time caught 4 keepers from the kayak between 17" to 19" together with numerous shorts that were on larger size...one in our group had a 24"+/- 11 lbs tog caught and released...and we all had nice time socializing...btw, early morning photo not best due to some clouds, sorry
