Got the handle all wrapped. Just waiting on the guides had a mix up when everything was shipped. The wraps in the second pic mark out 28 inches. A little style and function.

Nice job... What type of wrapper do you use... Please fill us in on the particulars.

Thanks,

The wrapper is from Cabela's bought as a set. Almost the same as the one Flex coat makes only not as much $$$. The rod is a 9' Lami for throwing lures rated 1-3 oz. I have the same blank that I built last winter. Works great for throwing just about anything from bombers to 3 oz pencils. The metallic lime green will be the under wrap and the fuschia will be the over wrap. Not MY first chioce for colors but it is Her rod.

Joe I've tried other things to measure fish but when waves are crashing over the point of a jetty knotted ropes or tailors tapes can get washed away (been there) plus when your in a hurry to pack the truck you don't forget the rod. I have added this mark to some of my other rods as well. There will also be a small striper decal between the fore grip and 28" wrap. As soon as the guides come in we'll have more pics. Who knows maybe in a month or two a nice fat striper at the end. And yes Joe very addictive just wait till that rod you built from scratch hauls a cow up the beach no better feeling.

I believe I am going to take you advice and wrap a measuring mark, my luck, they will change the regs on size limit.. LOL.
The Cabela's Wrapper does all I need it to and like you mentioned, at a great price.

Haven't decided yet. I would like something that is easy to remove should the regs change but I might just use Flex-Coat.
