Default Ideas for 8ft light weight blank

I've been looking for an 8ft 1 pc blank rated around 3/8 - 1 1/2 oz wanted to build to throw small tins, poppers and swim baits but I am haveing trouble finding somthing with those specs to build on if any one has built on blanks similar to what I'm looking for it would be great to hear on how particular blanks handle or just know of where to find a blank with those specs also pairing with a penn sg 4000 and plain on useing single foot guides and either a cork wrap handle or shrink wrap going for a sorta inshore light surf rod so I wanting a moderately stiff butt section with a softer tip.
Thanks in advance for any feedback

you can cut 1' off a 9 ' stick many do .

I like the Salmon rod for lighter presentations but don't go to over 1 oz w/ it.

I thought about that but was worried about how it would affect the action of blank and the overall way it loads when casting i am new to rod building and and have never cut a blank and don't have the budget to ruin a blank but I geus like anything else you got to make a few mistakes to learn the how not to do it

After the search I landed on a 7'6" lamiglass g1000 salmon blank used fugi guides in a ngc setup it's not really what I was originally aiming for but after useing it all spring and summer it's a fluking machine and makes for lots of fun with cocktails and med sized stripes the larger stripers get really interesting since the blank doesn't have enough back to turn them but not bad for my second build have built a few since this one will get some pics up later think rod building is more additive then tying flies or making plugs the gf is getting mad we have 10ft blanks for curtain rods now
