Out for the outgoing tonight, 11 dink?s. 7 on magdarters 4 on a clouser teaser.. if there were any big fish around they wouldn?t be quick enough to hit that plug, these dink?s are fast.

HookI,
"The rod I was using to throw 1/2 ounce bucktails was a 7 foot one piece Tsunami Airwave, I think, …"

No, I looked and its a 7' one piece Tsunami Slimwave.

I'm taking it to the beach again tomorrow for a few hours to IBSP. I'll try the front first and then the back again if front's not doing it for me. High tide's about 3:00 and it'll be a real pleasant afternoon.

Moco Outfront 4:30pm to slack tide and sundown. South wind and on the fly. Caught a dozen or so striped short ones. I was using a pink and white clouser and a full sink line.
Lots of fun!

Only two dink?s for me tonight, 20 and 25 inch. Yesterday was a nice chop with fish in the wash, today flat water. Seen others caught, all dink?s. These little guys usually show in December when it?s over. Are they telling us something

beautiful clean fish just love to eat them shorts . pink is one of my favorite presentations .If i had a good writing background i can really tell some things about the color pink, red , in waters or the fish eye because they told me so. But I don't have to tell you you're doing great , that's for sharing

11 shorts for me tonight, 6 on magdarters and 5 on a clouser teaser. Actually had striper rash on my thumb, although, because they were dink?s you could consider it diaper rash.

IBSP 3:00 to 5:30 yesterday. Talked to other guys there who had fished the ocean side all day and hadn't had a bump. I met a buddy who was throwing a bucktail out back, as he said "500 casts without any joy." There were also several other guys I spoke to who'd fished out back without any good result. So I spent a halfhearted 45 minutes wading along and got not a touch, went up front to try the high tide. It looked awesome, but nothing was in the water for me or any of the bait soakers, so I went back to the bay. 20 casts in I got my one and only dink, about 22". It was the only fish I saw, and I was very glad to have had it on my line.

I think that there are fish on the move, and that morning or evening/night are going to just be better and better for folks. I hope that I will be able to make it to the beach for some kind of encounter with the big mamas, or even just the medium girls.

What a day to be on the kayak in Long Island Sound yesterday...did not trust the forecasters about the temps and had my heavy jacket on...around 10am, no wind and blue sky with sun hitting on me I started to boil inside...had to take it off...almost like early September...7am to 2pm...water 58F...air over 70F...no wind at all...water like a glass...target fish was tog...caught 3 dozen shorts with 5 keepers in 17" range...kept only 3 as per regulations...at times bite was insane...maxed out by 11.30am...in the morning the cove in front of the harbor was full of blitzing schoolies...up to 24"...and when you are out early enough you will always get awarded with a magical sunrise
