Default Finger Protection...

Am I the only one that uses the flex fabric bandaids? I can cast for 5 hrs on the same bandaid. I forgot who recommended it to me years ago. Never seen anyone else use it.

There is a "glove" for your point finger which ties around your wrist with Velcro and protects you finger from abrasion by braided line while casting...works fine too

I used these for years...buy a couple every year and they last the whole season and then some usually. $3 at most bait shops.

I feel like those finger gloves take the sensitivity out of your finger. I like being able to feel the line pressure on my finger tip. Do people build calluses on their fingers for surf casting?

Remember that your finger will get wet from the line which will make your skin get softer.
If you just tossing lures you might get away with it.
If your throwing 8 & bait Braid will slice you in a "NY Second"

Conventional for my bait rod, one for my lighter plugs and everything else spinning with the white med tape wrapped around my finger. Braid cuts HURT.
