I drove an hour to get skunked, belmar is half that distance for me
Was there 6-7 guys at your relocation spot? If so I was one of them

Went out for the Monday morning low tide, figured I’d hit one of my rock piles with the blow out tide, but didn’t count on the water being so rough. Only lasted a couple hours and when the tide turned it came in fast. Had to haul butt off the rocks which is always fun. But was able to avoid the skunk with one 27” bass, dropped another which felt better but couldn’t turn it in the current and that was that. Might try heading south for a change and check out some old spots I haven’t been to in a few seasons.

No, surprisingly no one there. I thought it was impossible to be at a spot alone in jersey . would have been nice to meet you though. I still have the shad darts you mailed me, I feel guilty I haven't had a chance to hit the Delaware with them yet. I'm going to make it eventually

Great conditions yesterday pm. Bait flopping around in close. Not big pods but still there. Looked like perfect for the big blues we have had. But just schoolies. Most 16-24 in. Back at it at dawn

Dawn. Rain. Hit the beach. Weed. Back when tide comes in. In the rain.

NOMOCO out front in the drizzle/rain. 10 am to 2:30 pm. Top of the tide held a lot of weed and debris, but it cleared out pretty quickly once the outgoing took over. Water looked really clear on the outgoing. Stayed with the bucktail and SP looking for stripes and one of those newly arrived blues that I have been hearing about. Fish were not buying what I was selling. Not a bump. Saw a few clam soakers pulling up shorts on a pretty regular basis. Strange Spring so far.

One angler about 100 yards south of me pulled a flatty.

I got out to the end of the Hook for a late start and a short window. One fluke of almost keeper size on the bucktail (surprise!) and a couple bumps that were hard enough to know they were fish of some sort. Another day...
My next opportunity to bother a fish might be later next week when I'm spending a couple nights in Rehoboth. I once had a friend who tried to teach me how to throw bucktails to find stripers in the Indian River Inlet. I think I might be better at it now. We will see.

Joe, that's a long walk for an early flatty. Kudos!!

Bill, we don't fish because we want to. We fish because we have to.

Glad to hear the flat ones are beginning to arrive. Thanks for the report. Good Luck in Rehoboth! Try the fried Pickles in Dewey Beach!

Fished Wed night in the rain. Started in the bay about halfway to the tip. Nothing but brown water and weed. Headed oceanside to north/central MoCo. Strong surf, high tide, alot of walking, and not a bump. Going to check sandy hook tomorrow.

Took the day off of work & started off in ocean county. Fished from 730-2, no breaks except for driving to the next spot. Managed to land one bass around 18" on a CCW darter & dropped another on an ava yellow. Clean water the entire time where I was fishing until I moved into an inlet closer to home where I saw a few small blues caught. Was hoping that today was going to be one of those unforgettable ones
