No, I caught the skunk yesterday afternoon at IBSP. A beautiful afternoon, just no fish. I could see the line where high turbidity ended about 200 yards off the beach.
When the water is like that is it a strategy to forget the sandeel metals and go for a surface noise popper attack?

Seemed like, from reports, the pattern has been a better morning bite, for whatever reason and regardless of the turbidity. Poppers this time of year are rare, but some did well on swimmers so perhaps the fish are looking up more than down?

Who knows? You just have to experiment and not get stuck on one presentation.

I fished IBSP today - 7:30am to 10:30am. Cold & windy (14mph). Got 5 shorts on a teaser/metal rig.

Snow totals for most of NJ unchanged, though the tip of Cape May / Cumberland counties and MD/DE have had their totals increase
