I notice that there hasn't been a post here for some time. So here you go.
I've been toying with these a few weeks now. I wanted something small and heavy, almost metal like, that would be a good sandeel imitation. They are mohogany, 5" long and just about 1oz exactly. The 3 with the single hooks are thru wired and tail weighted with .24 oz, nose weighted and belly weighted. They sink fast and level in fresh water.
The dual hooked ones are screw eyed with 3 shots of lead in the belly, 2 close to the tail and one just behind the hook. These also sink level but not as fast. My only real concern is whether the single hooks will miss some head strikes. I think they are small enough to get sucked right in, also metals have one set of hooks and these are not much bigger than them.
I put a popsicle stick in the shot for size reference.
