Unhappy How to....

OK, so I need your help. Feel like I'm a new plug in the sleeve waiting to figure out how to snag a schoolies big brother. I can't figure out how to burn short fishing movies from my Compaq to a disc. Loadingbay cover says it can filp, rip, burn, and lable. And I've been sold small packs of any disc there is- like dvd-R,RW, + and -, etc.. Wile setting up our clinic day here, one of the therapists goes- "do ya gots a burner?". I thought it was all in the tower. SO, do I need a seperate device, and perhaps another program to upload? Geez, all I wants to do is see the pals doing their thing. Thanks for helping out. Maybe if I was ten years old, or had one, I'd already know this stuff. But the passion is being outside cause I'm no literay compuuter guy.

Does the loading bay cover say DVD on it? If it does not, then you cant even play DVD's on that computer.

If it does say DVD and also says recordable or re-writable then you have the ability to burn DVD's.

If you simply have only a CD ROM re-writable drive, you will not be able to burn DVD's.

If you have a digital video camera with a USB port on it, you may be able to copy the movies to your camera and play them on the TV.

It all depends on what you have.

Thanks Benny, when I get back near home I'll check it again. I know it says DVD, and it indicates rip, burn, and label. I'll post more accurate info and see what turns up. Thanks for your help so far. P
