Default Fastsnap techno mumbo jumbo needed

Okay I will admit I am slow to changes. I am looking at these FASTSNAPS and will need a little mumbo jumbo to twist my arm to use.

Can a swivel be slipped on one end if so which end if it matters? There is the small looped end or large looped end.

If tying direct, again which end and will assume the other end to be used to slip on plug, leader or whatever else is being added?

Why don’t the knot, plug or swivel slide around and become unattached?

Gonna throw an answer/question in here.
I think I would go from braid line, to swivel, to 3-4' leader, to fastsnap, to plug.
Correct or in correct? For me the fast snap would replace the duro snap, if the previous statement is correct.

See I was thinking regaurdless of type line
main line to fastsnap > swivil > leader then fastsnap >plug
main line to fastsnap > swivil > hi/lo or fish finder or slap rigs

or mainline > swivel > fastsnap > plug (no leader)
Still not sure is it better to tie to small end or large end.

The FastSnap is meant to replace a snap, whether that's a Coastlock or DuoLock.

The Large (actually small) FastSnap can be tied on your main line and then "snapped" onto your lure or the top swivel of a fishing rig.

The X-Large 150 pound test FastSnap can replace the DuoLock used to hold your lead weight.

As SilverFox stated it is OK to attach a swivel to a FastSnap, then it would be called a "FastSnap Swivel" and function the same as a Coastlock Snap Swivel.

Which End? Does not matter, when I attach them to a FishFinder slide I use the "L" end. It takes some more time because the "eye" on a Heavy Duty FishFinder slide is thick compared to a cheapo nylon fishfinder.

Unless you are using the Pendulum Cast why do you need a leader WITH a StriperSurf Trophy Bait Fishing Rig? They are tied from 60 or 80 pound test line, that's more than enough.

Braid with Shock Leader: Most guys do not use a shock leader but if you do I suggest tying a FastSnap on the end of the mono leader and then simply attaching the top barrel swivel of the rig to the free end of the FastSnap.

Joe do you need some pictures?

Would never use a leader with a hi lo rig, would only use a leader plugging.

In this case I would use the fastsnap in place of the duro and as always my swivel is above my leader where it attaches to my line.

Old school, at least with me, never, when plugging use a swivel snap, cuts down on the proper action of the plug, snap only, or in this case fastsnap.

I always tie my main line to a swivel then add a fast snap to attach either my plugging leader or a bait rig.

Also use the fast snap at the end of my fish finder rig to attach the short leader with the hook on it. {My fish finder is made almost like a Slap Shot rig.}

It's rare that I have to tie anything on the beach. And when I do 99% of the time it's because my main line was cut.

"too much hardware"
Not for Bass or Blues IMO

To much hardware in the sense of failure, KISS

I guess if you catch fish, who the heck cares.

I agree about keeping it simple. The fastsnaps simply work, though I do tie direct when I know I plan on fishing a particular method and/or level of the water column. If I'm hunting around for signs of life, planning on switching, I now use the fastsnaps.
