Heading up next weekend from New Jersey for one week with my family. Hope to squeeze in some striper fishing. Never been to Maine but I hear there could be some striper action while i am there.
Would greatly appreciate it if anyone had some advice on some good areas to fish from in the Bar Harbor/Mt Desert Island area

Not sure stripers get up that far but I'm not from the area. Have been going there for years and do well down east around Kennebunkport but never heard of anyone fishing for stripers much north of Portland.

Thanks for the replies.
Do plan on stopping in Kinnebunkport for the day-maybe will escape while the wife and kids go shopping.
Unfortunately the week i am in Bar Harbor the tides at dawn and dusk will be on the low side- will try my luck anyway

I got married on top of Cadillac Mtn., and love MDI. But I didn't know there were any stripers in the Sound - can you tell me where I can try when I'm up there in a few weeks? I assume the mouth of the sound is better that up north near Somesville, right? That would be too far inland.
