Very nice Rob. Don't show Bayyaker those pink and blue ones. I know for a fact that that is his favorite color scheme.

Nice work rob. Iam a big fan of shrimp. What type of material is the blue and pink, SF blend?

A combo of ultra hair tail, SF blend for the body, and pink floro fiber for the throat.

It’s a fly pattern called “the Betsy” which can be found with a quick search, I just varied the colors and in the case of pink, used the floro fiber instead of ultra hair for the throat.

also tied up 6 in black, but using ultra hair and ep fiber (since I couldn't find SF blend in black)

Going to tie up more shrimp in different colors as well

With all the crazy tying I got into over the years I never attempted a shrimp.

Not really sure why but I suspect its because I have no confidence in fishing the pattern?

J

Yeah, I understand... I had never tied a shrimp pattern and wanted to try it.

For the betsy, I got Loon U/V thin and thick set, and really enjoyed working with it, so figured it would make a good "shell".

All my tying is "functional" in that I have to at least "think" I'll fish the fly. Whether or not I do, depends on opportunity and situation. I know some situations I've faced where I definitely will fish a mole (or other) crab pattern, for example, but unless I hit those conditions, I'd likely pull out something else first.

I do hope to fish these at some points this year. Fly only or as teasers.

Ah a big stone, nice

Yeah, iohones and androids each have their own idiosyncrasies w.r.t. posting pictures direct.

Something to do with how the forum sw interprets the aspect ratio to autoflip the picture, if I recall. But you just have to play around to figure it out, if you care, or try flipping it manually.

I get this weirdness when viewing photos on a mac in different apps.
